Australian Lamb and Beef Say G’day USA!
New York City , NY – Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) is proud to partner with Australia Week organizers to provide attendees at events in Los Angeles and New York the opportunity to taste the unique flavour of Australian beef and lamb. In its fourth year, the program aims to build stronger business relations and promote all things Australian to the citizens of greater Los Angeles and, for the first time, New York. Australian beef and lamb were featured at all the key events in Los Angeles, including a screening of the iconic Australian film Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, the food and beverage trade show, and the CEO golf day. Over 1,200 guests who attended the Penfold’s black tie dinner to honour Russell Crowe, Naomi Watts and the late Steve Irwin dined on a menu prepared by owner and Executive Chef of Sydney’s Rockpool restaurant, Neil Perry, including a delicious entree of seared slow roasted rib of Australian grain fed beef. MLA Regional Manager Michelle Gorman said “Australia Week provides an opportunity to increase U.S. consumers’ awareness of our high quality lamb and beef products.” Events continue in New York this week with two major functions where owner and Executive Chef of Vue de monde in Melbourne, Shannon Bennett, will prepare Greg Norman Australian Prime Wagyu, while Neil Perry will prepare Australian Lamb Cutlets with Lemongrass and Ginger with a Barbecue Mixed Salad. Neil Perry will also prepare his dish live on The Martha Stewart Show. Ms. Gorman said ”We estimate that 3,500 consumers will have the opportunity to try Australian beef and lamb at these events with the products featured available during the month of January at two boutique retail chains, Bristol Farms in Los Angeles and Citarella in New York, allowing event attendees to make it at home.” Australian Lamb and Beef are all-natural products — no artificial additives are used in production, and their mild and succulent flavor is a direct result of Australia’s clean, pure environment. |
